- Talk to God when you’re lonely. He has promised to never forsake his children. Also, remember that Christian counselors are there to help people sort through their feelings and get a grip on why they feel the way they do. Talking with your pastor or a Christian counselor is a great step. Despite what you might think, counseling is not something for “psychos.” It’s for smart people who want to understand themselves better (see Psalm 139:13–14).
