>> Thoughts to Ponder
- Our bodies die, are buried and eventually decay. But our spirits live forever. Paul uses the illustration of a seed to explain how new life comes from a seed that is buried in the ground. See 1 Corinthians 15:36–44.
- Jesus will raise the dead when he returns to the earth one day (see 1 Corinthians 15:51–57).
- Jesus says those who trust in him will never really die (see John 11:25–26). When we physically die, our spirits are instantly with Jesus and live on forever with him in heaven.
