>> Verses to Scan (NIV)
- Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
- 1 Peter 3:3-6 Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear.

>> Thoughts to Ponder
- What your mom always said is true. Guys are turned on by what they see. And they don’t have to see a whole lot to reach overload. Even Christian guys. So, think about the unintended message you’re sending by the way you dress and how you act.
- Even if you think you should have permission to dress however you want, ask yourself if it is constructive. Even if you do argue all the way to the Supreme Court that it’s your right, does that make it right? What if you cause a weaker Christian to stumble (see 1 Corinthians 10:23–24)?
